Travel Guide

Thank you for taking an interest in attending our wedding! We know many of you live far from Ireland, so we have created this guide to help you sort out the travel logistics.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us via email or phone any time!

Getting there...

Our wedding will be at the beautiful Waterford Castle Resort Hotel in Waterford, Ireland.

To get there, follow these steps:

1. If you are traveling from outside Ireland, book your flights! We recommend flying into Dublin aiport (airport code: DUB) the night before the wedding (Friday, March 6th) or earlier. We also recommend booking your flights by the end of the year to avoid heightened air travel ticket prices.

2. Once you reach Dublin, or if you are traveling from another location within Ireland, you will need to travel to the town of Waterford, Ireland. There are a few methods of travel, but we recommended one of the following:

  • Carpool / Rent a car (about 2 - 2.5 hours drive south)

  • *Recommended* Take the Irish Rail from Dublin Heuston Station to Waterford Plunkett Station (about 20 eur one way)

  • Take a regional bus from Dublin to Waterford (600, X4, etc), you can plan your trip with Ireland's planner here. Make sure to bring exact change with you for the fare.

3. Waterford Castle Resort is located on an island. There is a car ferry that regular travels to and from the island, but there is no way to board the ferry by foot. So, once your each Waterford, we recommend car pooling or calling a cab (which you can do via Uber) to get to the hotel.

Finding lodging...

There are many options for acquiring lodging in Waterford for the day and night of our wedding. Here are our recommendations:

  • Stay in Waterford Castle Resort (price varies at ~200 eur / night); contact Amanda or Matthieu to reserve one of the beautiful rooms at the castle at our wedding venue.

  • Stay in a lodge on the island grounds of Waterford Castle Resort. A more affordable option: 3 double beds per lodge at 180 eur / 1 night, 280 eur / 2 nights, and 380 eur / 3 nights. Contact Waterford Castle Resort directly to book a lodge.

  • Another great and affordable option (~60 - 150 eur / night) is to rent a room at a local B&B in Waterford. Check out Booking.com or Airbnb to find available rooms.
